Mirrors

I love looking in the mirror.

One time, when I was letting my mind go wild with whatever it wanted to be thinking, I thought, If there were a job that paid me to look in the mirror all the time, that would be heaven. Now, I'm not sure what that means or if it is possible, but I do know of several youtubers who have made their living making videos of themselves. My videos, Frolic and Fauna, have been one of the most fun things I've ever done.

I love to shape and reshape, as does the whole of society. I think we are actually a culture of artists hiding in 9-5 jobs. We love to create bodies and faces and fashion clothing and colors to form bubbles around ourselves. The mystics call them auras, the media calls it fashion, I think even babies are aware of this desire to create and see the world through a new lens.

Music is a beautiful way of looking at a situation in a completely new vein, and my favorite, movies, are just some of the most fun things out there to realize things about life in a drastic contrast.

Whatever mirror we choose, there are things to consider: lighting, background, how clean is your mirror, what shape is it, who else is in it, and what else, what are the noises surrounding your mirror, smells, essences, memories even.

I want to delve deeper into my mirror and really flesh out where I am going and become streamlined and purposeful, in a relaxed, comforting way, so that others can look at me and see the best parts of themselves.
